A call from the browser, straight from the order page

The phone button on the order page now calls the customer straight from the browser: click it and the system dials, click it again and the call ends. No third-party programs. And if you wish, you can hide the number, so the operator will not see it in the interface. The dialer is part of the free AlterCPA Moe.

How it works

Click the phone button in the order and the system calls the customer by itself, right from the browser. Click it again and the call ends. For outgoing calls, softphones on workstations can be sent into a well-deserved retirement.

It all runs through a single SIP account for the whole company: one multi-channel SIP trunk is enough for all outgoing calls. You do not need to set up your own telephony server, we have a built-in one.

How to enable it

Open “Control” → “Company settings” and find the “Connect to SIP server” block:

Your provider must issue a SIP account (trunk) with a login and password and support G.711 codecs (ulaw/alaw) and UDP transport.

How to hide the number

By default, the call link contains the phone number, and copying it from there is a piece of cake. For the operator not to see the number, take two steps:

Now the order card has the “Call” button instead of the number, and the dialer itself requests the number from the server at the moment of dialing. It is much harder to copy what you cannot see.

Important! The id:[id] value works only with the built-in dialer: without it, the call link dials nothing. So enable the dialer first, and only then hide the number.
