The Modern look and real XLSX reports

We have refreshed the look of AlterCPA Moe and put the Excel report export in order. The new Modern theme looks more up to date but is just as compact, and the files now open where they used to give people trouble.

The Modern look

The interface became a bit more modern, but we kept continuity with the classic style: the tables are just as compact, and they still fit a ton of statistics. You will not have to get used to it all over again.

• The light or dark variant of the theme is chosen automatically, depending on your browser settings.
• The page became lighter by about 500 KB: that is how much the loading of the font and of the old styles and scripts used to eat. On mobile it is the most noticeable.

Reports in real XLSX

We put the Excel report generation function in order. Before, it produced files in the Excel XML format, and third-party office suites would periodically refuse to open them. Now the output is a full-fledged XLSX: it works everywhere, even in Numbers.

This applies to new exports from the orders list and from the “Company” section: “Order analytics”, “Call analytics”, “Delivery analytics” and “Delivery statistics”. You can now simply open the file, no song and dance required.

It turned out rather nice: come and take a look.
