Lifehack: receiving traffic from an agency

Your CRM is the free AlterCPA Moe, and the traffic is sent to you by an agency on AlterCPA Pro or AlterCPA Cloud? Making them friends is easy: you create a traffic source and give the agency the integration data and the offer ID, and the agency sets up the link using a single template.

Who is who

First, let’s define the roles. The one who works in AlterCPA Moe is the company. The one who has AlterCPA Pro or AlterCPA Cloud is the agency. Moe is only for the side that receives traffic. And in the Moe interface the agency is called a traffic source — that is what you will create.

What you do

  1. Create a traffic source. Open the “Traffic sources” subsection of the “Traffic” section, enter a name and click “Add”. A new source will be created and a message with all the data needed for the integration will be generated (it is behind the “Message” button). Copy it and send it to the future sender of the traffic.
  2. Give the agency the ID of the offer you will work with: it is in the first column of the offers list.

Nothing more is required from the company.

What the agency does

  1. Gets the integration data — it is in your message.
  2. Sets up the integration using the single template — AlterCPA Moe Merchant. There is no need to specify a domain in the settings.
  3. Adds a parameter to the offer. The parameter name is set when the integration is configured, and its value is the offer ID that you gave.

Offer parameters in Pro and Cloud are configured in the “Offers” section with the “Parameters” button: the name consists of lowercase Latin letters, numbers and a hyphen.

Details are in the help: “AlterCPA-based networks” and “Parameters in integration”.

Important!

That is the whole friendship: two steps for you, three for the agency.
